Tour Founder:
Retiring after thirty-four years of being a coach, teacher, high school principal, and school superintendent, it was still George's desire to assist young golfers. He had been a high school golf coach for the past several years and had spent 7 years traveling the junior golf circuit with his son. Too often we had to travel to the St. Louis or Chicago area for tournaments. This was not only time consuming but also very expensive. George's desire was to initiate a Central Illinois Junior Golf Tour, which would benefit both our young golfers and their parents. In order to make this tour successful, he needed three things:

The use of the best courses in Central Illinois
An economical package parents can afford
The young players in Central Illinois competing

Two of the criteria have been met. We have secured the best golf courses in Central Illinois for our tour. I am sure you will agree after you have checked the schedule. Also, due to the cooperation of the courses, we have put together a financial package that is very affordable. A participant can play in 8 events plus the two-day Tour Championship for $300.00.

Now we need the players. Plaques will be awarded at each event. A ranking of players will be kept over the duration of the tour with numerous awards presented at the conclusion. Also, tournament summaries will be posted on a national web-site so college coaches can be made aware of and follow the progress of individuals.
