Memorial Golf Scholarship
The George Toler Memorial Golf Scholarship
was established in memory of George Toler for two reasons. First and
foremost, the educating of students had played a part of his life for thirty
four years and secondly, junior golf became a love of his to the extent of
developing The Central Illinois Junior Golf Tour.
Eligibility
The Central Illinois Junior Golf Tour is
offering a scholarship to a boy or girl who has completed the junior year of
high school or higher. High school students must show an acceptance letter
into an accredited junior college, college, university or vocational/technical
school to be eligible and currently play on the Central Illinois Junior Golf
Tour.
Requirements
All candidates for the George Toler Memorial
Golf Scholarship MUST satisfy all of the following before beings considered for
the scholarship.

have won in The George Toler Memorial
Tour Championship or be Player of the Year.

have played in five tour events during
the current season.

show sportsmanship and proper etiquette
in the sport of golf.

submit an application
-
write two paragraphs on how golf has
affected your life and why you should win this scholarship.
Selection Process
The recipient of this scholarship will be chosen
by Teresa Toler, Craig Toler and a trustee of Shelby County State Bank.
